Bright lights, gaming and leisure — these words don’t just describe glitzy casino resorts in Las Vegas and Macau. They also apply to the Philippines’ newest tourism destination, a sprawling 8 km entertainment complex called 娛樂城.

First conceived by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) in 2002, the complex is currently home to four integrated resorts. Located in Bay City, the complex is expected to be fully operational by 2024.

Another key part of the city’s history and culture is puppet-making, a craft that dates back to the Middle Ages and was an integral part of European culture during the 18th century. Today, you can see the best of Czech puppetry at the National Marionette Theatre.

The Photo Centre Gallery is a must-see for anyone who wants to explore Prague’s arts scene, as it houses a huge collection of artworks from both local and foreign artists. There’s plenty to discover, from contemporary paintings and sculptures to traditional Czech works.

Tel Aviv (meaning ‘hill of spring’ in Hebrew) is a city that never sleeps, but the real power lies in its overwhelming passion for life. You see it in the bustling cafes, 24-hour parties and furious creativity poured into the local theater, music and fashion scenes.

It’s the combination of sparkling beaches and sprawling parks, non-stop nightlife, first-rate arts and culture, centuries’ worth of history and archaeology, and a young and diverse population that make Tel Aviv so unique.

You can spend hours exploring museums and restored neighborhoods such as the ancient Port of Jaffa and Neve Tzedek. You can also get a glimpse of the Bauhaus architecture that earned Tel Aviv its nickname of White City. When visiting, be sure to take in some live concerts, opera, ballet or a first-run movie.
